Welcome to Plotory! These terms govern your use of our app. By using Plotory, you agree to these terms.
1. What is Plotory?
Plotory is a social platform that helps you:
- Create and join events ("plots")
- Connect with friends and join communities ("groups")
- Discover activities and events happening near you
- Coordinate with others attending the same events
- Share photos and memories from your experiences
2. Account Requirements
To use Plotory, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Be responsible for all activity on your account
3. Community Guidelines
Plotory is built on respect and trust. You agree to:

- Be respectful and kind to other users
- Only share content you have the right to share
- Report inappropriate behavior or content
- Keep your events safe and legal
Don't:
- Post illegal, harmful, violent, or sexually explicit content
- Harass, bully, threaten, or discriminate against others
- Impersonate other people or organizations
- Spam or send unsolicited promotional content
- Attempt to hack, exploit, or disrupt the service
- Create fake accounts or artificially inflate engagement
- Use the app for illegal activities
4. Your Content
Ownership: You retain ownership of all content you create and share on Plotory (photos, posts, event details, etc.).
License: By posting content, you grant Plotory a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content within the app. This allows us to show your posts to other users as intended.
Responsibility: You are responsible for the content you post. Don't share anything that infringes copyrights, violates privacy, or breaks the law.
5. In-App Purchases
Plotory may offer optional purchases ("Boosts") to enhance your experience. When making purchases:
- All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play
- Prices are displayed before purchase
- Refunds are subject to the app store's policies
- Virtual currency (Boosts) has no real-world monetary value
6. Privacy
Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. Key points:
- We never sell your personal data
- Location data is only used to improve your experience
- You can delete your account and data at any time
7. Moderation
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms. This includes:
- Removing posts that violate community guidelines
- Temporarily suspending accounts for violations
- Permanently banning repeat offenders

8. Account Termination
By you: You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Account > Delete Account. This permanently removes your data.
By us: We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or pose safety risks.
9. Disclaimers
Plotory is provided "as is." We work hard to keep things running smoothly, but:
- We don't guarantee the service will always be available
- We're not responsible for user-generated content
- We're not responsible for events organized through the app
- You use Plotory at your own risk
10. Safety
Important: When meeting people from Plotory in person:
- Meet in public places
- Tell someone where you're going
- Trust your instincts
- Report suspicious behavior
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plotory and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. We'll notify you of significant changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.
